Block level competitions organized on the occasion of International Yoga Day
45 participants showed skills in yogasana competitions

Kurukshetra, District Sports Officer Manoj Kumar said that on the occasion of International Yoga Day, block level yogasana competitions were organized under the aegis of District Administration, Sports Department and Education and AYUSH Department.
He said that separate competitions were organized for men and women in different age groups from 9 am to 6 pm at Dronacharya Stadium. Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Neha Singh formally inaugurated the block level competitions by lighting the lamp.
District Sports Officer Manoj Kumar said that a total of 45 participants from schools, yoga institutions and general public participated in the block level yogasana competitions. He said that in these competitions, Divyansh of DAV School got first place, Ansh second, Rajat got third place in the competition of boys of 10 to 12 age group. Similarly, in the competition for girls in the age group of 10 to 12 years, Gurleen came first, Mahreen second, Tanisha third; in the boys group of 18 to 28, Aniket came first; in the age group of 28 to 40, Deepak came first; in the girls group of Himanshi came first; Pooja Saini came second; in the age group of 40 to 60, Rajendra came first, Pramod second; Suresh came third.
He said that in the competition for girls in the age group of 14 to 18, Samriddhi came first, Neeru second, Vanshika third; in the competition for boys in the age group of 14 to 18, Vipin came first, Raman second; in the age group above 60, Mani Ram came first, Dharampal second, Gulshan third. On this occasion, PTI Suresh Arya, Pramod Dhiman and Rajesh Chauhan of various schools of the Education Department played the role of judges in these competitions.
