Shajapur. The Chief Minister's Tirtha Darshan Yatra is being run by the state government to take poor elderly people, who are unable to go on pilgrimage due to financial problems, to the pilgrimage site for free, but the leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party are busy sabotaging this scheme and committing fraud in collusion with the officials. This is the reason that in this popular scheme of the government, instead of the needy beneficiaries, the rich and capable people along with the ruling leaders are travelling by getting their names registered fraudulently. The special thing is that the officials who harass the poor in the name of eligibility blindfolded themselves before selecting capable and competent people to send them on the yatra. As a result, in the yatra that started from Shajapur district, most of the financially prosperous and Bharatiya Janata Party leaders have been sent for darshan.
The yatra for Kamakhya Devi Darshan started from Shajapur district on 13 October 24 under the Mukhyamantri Tirtha Darshan Yojana, but the officials who selected the pilgrims for this yatra flouted the rules. This was the reason that along with the financially prosperous people, BJP leaders were also included in the yatra. Talking about the rules, only a financially weak person whose age is 60 years or more is eligible to go on the yatra, but former Municipal Council Vice President of Shajapur Municipality Rekha Amritlal was selected for the Tirtha Darshan Yatra. At the same time, Satyendra Rathore, who has a luxurious house and a private truck at Dhobi Chauraha, also left for the yatra under the Mukhyamantri Tirtha Darshan Yojana by pretending to be poor despite being financially capable. Also, retired rural extension officer Ramkrishna Gothi has also gone on the Tirtha Darshan Yatra wearing the chola of poverty. All these pilgrims have been selected by the officials of the Religious Affairs Department in collaboration with other officials including the Municipality and now the officials are seen shirking from telling about the selection process. Former vice president of Nagar Palika left for the pilgrimage by becoming a poor person. On 13th October, a group of pilgrims has left from the district for the darshan of Kamakhya Devi under the Chief Minister's Tirtha Darshan Yojana. The journey is till 18th October. Former vice president of Shajapur Nagar Palika Rekha Amritlal has also left in this journey by becoming a poor person. As per the rules, vice president of Nagar Palika Rekha Amritlal Meena is not eligible to undertake the pilgrimage, despite this, the responsible people have included her in the Tirtha Darshan Yojana and sent her on the pilgrimage, due to which questions are being raised on the working style of the officers. Most of the pilgrims who left from the district are financially well off, but they have taken advantage of the scheme by colluding with the officers to avail the benefit of the free scheme.
