BJP is another name for manipulation
After Rahul Gandhi, Digvijay accused of rigging in voter list
Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday alleged that the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections were a blueprint for rigging democracy and this match fixing will now be repeated in Bihar as well. Along with this, he said that after this the same will be done in those places where the Bharatiya Janata Party will be losing. On one hand Rahul Gandhi made this allegation, on the other hand, former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and senior party leader Digvijay Singh also posted on social media and tried to prove Gandhi's allegations true. Digvijay Singh shared the post of another user in which he had alleged rigging by saying that there was a sudden increase of 40 thousand voters in Raghogarh, the assembly constituency of Singh's son Jaivardhan Singh. Sharing the same post, Digvijay Singh called BJP another name for manipulation.
In fact, the post shared by Digvijay Singh compares the results of the assembly elections held in the year 2018 and 2023 in the Raghogarh assembly constituency, and tells how 40 thousand new voters increased in the assembly constituency during these five years, and all of them voted for the BJP. Due to which, while the victory margin of Congress candidate Jaivardhan Singh in the year 2018 was about forty-six and a half thousand, it was reduced to just 4505 in the 2023 elections. Sharing this post, a user named Anshuman Sel Nehru wrote, 'In a rural constituency like Raghogarh in Madhya Pradesh, 40 thousand new voters were added in 5 years, which is absolutely unnatural. The most cruel thing is that the votes of all these 40 thousand new voters went to the BJP, due to which the number of its voters, which was 51000 in 2018, suddenly increased to 91000 in the year 2023. Rahul Gandhi has raised the most important issue of election rigging.'
On the other hand, sharing the same post of a user named Anshuman on his wall, Digvijay Singh wrote, "BJP is another name for manipulation" I don't know where these voters have come from. I know this constituency inside out. Jai Siya Ram, Raghu Ji Maharaj ki Jai.'
According to what the user told, this is how BJP's votes increased in 5 years
2018 Assembly Election Result
Assembly Seat- Raghogarh (MP)
Votes received by Congress- 98,268
Votes received by BJP- 51,571
Winning Margin- 46,697
2023 Assembly Election Result
Assembly Seat- Raghogarh (MP)
Votes received by Congress- 95,738
Votes received by BJP- 91,233
Winning Margin- 4505
Between these two elections, the number of voters in Raghogarh increased by 40 thousand, along with this, the number of votes received by BJP also increased surprisingly by 39,662. Digvijay Singh also targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party by raising this issue like his leader Rahul Gandhi.
Rahul Gandhi raised this issue on social media
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi posted a post related to this issue on the social media platform 'X' on Saturday, writing, 'The whole game of election theft! The 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections were a blueprint for rigging democracy.'
Further Rahul Gandhi wrote, 'In my article, I have explained in detail how this conspiracy was hatched step by step: Step 1: Capture the panel that appoints the Election Commission, Step 2: Fake voters were added to the voter list, Step 3: Show inflated voting percentage, Step 4: Fake voting was done by targeting where BJP had to win, Step 5: The evidence was hidden.'
Further he wrote, 'It is not at all difficult to understand why BJP was so furious in Maharashtra. But election rigging is like match fixing – the party that cheats may win, but it weakens democratic institutions and people lose faith in the results. Every responsible citizen must see the evidence for themselves, understand the truth and demand answers. Because this match fixing of Maharashtra will now be repeated in Bihar and then in other places where BJP is losing. Match fixed elections are poison for democracy.
