Many trees were uprooted in Dwarka due to strong winds. Several trees and electric poles were uprooted near Jakhau and Mandvi towns in Kutch district, while tin sheets used in house construction were blown away.

Damage up to 100 km, no life lost

The Executive Magistrate of Dwarka district said that there have been complaints of falling of trees and poles from many places in the district. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum damage can be done in the area of 100 kilometers around Jakhou Port. During this, the wind speed is estimated to be around 120 to 140 km.
