Anuppur, the Superintendent of Police of Anuppur has ordered for effective action against illegal activities like gambling and betting, on which the Additional Superintendent of Police gives regular guidance. On 30.01.25, Bijuri police received information from an informer that some gamblers are gambling in the forest near the Kanai river in village Bhatadan by betting on win or loss. Since the gambling den is being operated in an open place, additional force is required for siege, hence, Mr. Superintendent of Police provided additional force from Ramnagar Police Station and Police Line Anuppur and under the active guidance of SDOP Kotma Mrs. Aarti Sakya, SDOP Anuppur Mr. Sumit Kerketta, raid was conducted at the place indicated by the informer, and gamblers were arrested from the spot: 1- Deepak alias Deepu Singh father Dinesh Bahadur Singh, age 34 years, resident of Shramik Nagar Badar 2- Ramu Sharma father Rajendra Prasad Sharma, age 36 years, resident of Kothi 3- Ravi Shankar Rajak alias Golu father Dukhilal Rajak, age 31 years, resident of Bazar Dafaai Bhalumaada 4- Krishnavtar Gupta father Chandrika Prasad Gupta, age 42 years, resident of Ward No. 02 Podgi Baikuthpur District Korea, Chhattisgarh. 5- Lala Baiga father Battulal Baiga age 30 years resident of Payasi Chowki Funaga 6- Rupasai Kewat father Ratan Kewat age 32 years resident of Badra 7- Abu Toshiyan father Mohd. Ibrar age 35 years resident of Ward No. 14 Lahasui Police Station Kotma 8- Jai Prakash Mishra father Ganesh Mishra age 42 years resident of Budhanpur Police Station Kotma 9- Ramnarayan Rajwade father Shivmangal Rajwade age 44 years resident of Khopa Chowki Karanji Police Station Vishrampur District Surajpur Chhattisgarh. 10 Mohammad Mustaq father Mohammad Safiq age 44 years resident of ward number 10 Ramnagar was caught red handed while gambling and during interrogation he told that Atul Mishra resident Badra, Pappu Mishra resident Pasana, Sartaj resident Kotma and Tiblu Jaiswal resident Bijuri are setting up gambling den here by providing the arrangements and on seeing the police they all ran away with the money. Total cash amount of Rs. 121000/-, 10 mobile phones, 1 Scorpio and 8 motor cycles total booty of Rs. 2100000/- was seized from the gambling den and investigation is being done after registering crime 29/25 section 13 Gambling Act in police station Bijuri. In the above action, Inspector Vikas Singh, Sub Inspector Sumit Kaushik, Sub Inspector Manim Toppo, Sub Inspector Kamlesh Tiwari, Ravi Shankar, Ramharsh Patel, Pra. Satish Mishra, Brijbhan Singh, R. Laxman Dangi, Anand, Vishwajit Mishra, Karamjit, Manoj Upadhyay, Rajneesh Tiwari played a notable role.
