Ara/Sandesh, In Bhojpur district, during a special raid campaign by the mining department and police team on Friday and Saturday, 2074 metric tonnes of illegal sand was recovered and seized from 21 places where it was kept illegally.

The current market price of sand is said to be more than Rs 30 lakh. The mining department has taken action against those doing illegal business secretly and has registered a named FIR against 37 local illegal traders in the concerned police station.

In the early morning of Friday, DM Tanay Sultania and SP Raj received secret information that large amounts of sand are being illegally stocked and sold by local illegal traders in the Sandesh police station area and Imadpur police station area.

Showing seriousness on the matter, the DM and SP immediately directed the police of the local police station and the mining department to raid the place mentioned in a special manner. In the Sandesh police station area, raids were conducted at a total of 15 places from Nasratpur village to Nanasagar.

During this, 1780 metric tons of illegal sand was seized. 17 people have been named as accused in this case.

Here, while conducting a special raid campaign at seven places in the Imadpur police station area, 294 metric tons of illegal sand was seized and 20 illegal traders have been named.

The mining department has requested the SHO and the circle officer to mark the land and register an FIR against the illegal sand traders. This action of the police and the mining department has created panic among those involved in illegal sand trade. This is considered to be a big action by the administration in recent times.

These people were named in Sandesh

Prince Singh, Rahul Singh, Ajit Singh, Guddu Kumar, Ravish Kumar, Manjit Kumar, Rahul Singh, Rambabu Singh, Sushil Yadav, Bablu Yadav, Santosh Singh, Arjun Yadav, Vikas Singh, all of village Saripur are involved in illegal sand business in Sandesh police station area.

Virendra Yadav and Jitendra Yadav, both residents of village Nasratpur, Nand Ji Yadav, resident of village Nanasagar are doing sand business. On the other hand, a case has been filed against 20 people in Imadpur police station area. A named FIR has been lodged by mining inspector Arya Mishra.

Illegal traders overpowered the raiding team in Sandesh and fled with the tractor

The raiding team caught a tractor while illegally transporting sand between Nasratpur-Nanasagar of Sandesh police station area. The tractor caught belongs to Shravan Kumar, resident of village Salempur-Jogta of Chandi police station area. A named FIR has been lodged against him as well.
