Bhopal. Metro passengers in the capital Bhopal are in for a major relief. Following approval from the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS), regular metro services have resumed on both tracks between Subhash Nagar and AIIMS station. The Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL) has released a new timetable, providing passengers with metro services every 15 minutes during peak hours. The implementation of a new advanced signaling system will ensure safer and more punctual train operations.

Metro to operate 50 trips daily

According to the new arrangement, a total of 50 trips will operate daily on both tracks between Subhash Nagar and AIIMS station. The first metro train will depart from Subhash Nagar station at 9 am, while the first train from AIIMS station will depart at 9:30 am. The last metro train from Subhash Nagar will depart at 6:30 pm and from AIIMS at 7:00 pm.

Trains will be available every 15 minutes during peak hours from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM and 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. At other times, the metro frequency will be 30 minutes.

Daily commuters will benefit directly

The new timetable will provide relief to patients and their families visiting AIIMS Bhopal. Furthermore, passengers at Rani Kamlapati Railway Station, students attending coaching institutes in MP Nagar, and employees working at major offices like Vallabh Bhawan, SBI, and RBI will find their travel experience easier and more time-efficient than before.

Special Discounts on Digital Ticketing

MPMRCL has implemented an Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system to promote cashless travel. Passengers can easily book tickets through mobile apps, UPI, QR codes, and e-wallets.

These are the offers for passengers:
A 5% discount will be available on return ticket bookings.
A 10% discount will be available on group tickets.
Recharging e-wallet on the official app of MPMRCL will provide additional bonus of 8% to 15%, making the journey more economical for regular commuters.
