Anuppur, under the guidance of Mr. Superintendent of Police, District Anuppur and Additional Superintendent of Police, SDOP, Kotma, under the able leadership of Inspector Sanjay Khalkho, Police Station Bhalumaada, today on 05.01.2025, information was received from an informer that some people are sitting in village Chukan and gambling with playing cards, betting on the win or loss of money. On the information of a reliable informer, for verification, Assistant Sub Inspector Arvind Rai and Deepu Tiwari 294, Sanjay Verma 499, Ravindra Maurya 579, Devendra Singh 363, Abhishek Chauhan 445 reached village Chukan and conducted raid and arrested accused Loknath Kewat father late Bhagwat Kewat age 52 years resident of Aamadan, Shravan Kumar Gupta father Chhotelal Gupta age 45 years resident of Pyari No. 2, Santosh Kumar Chandra father Mandal Das Chandra age 36 years resident of Chukan, all from police station Bhalumaada and recovered cash of ₹ 12,000/- and four motorcycles worth a total of Rs. 2,82,000/- were seized and taken into police custody. Against the above three accused and the absconding accused Tularam resident Bhad, crime number 04/2025 under section 13 of the Gambling Act was registered and the investigation was taken up.
