Katni, Barwara BRC of Katni district has been arrested red handed by EOW while taking bribe of ten thousand for getting recognition. EOW officers and employees have caught the arrested BRC and brought him to Barwara police station and action is being taken.

EOW DSP AB Singh, who reached Katni from Jabalpur, said that Barwara's complainant Raghvendra Singh had applied for recognition of fifth class school, in return for verification and recognition, Barwara's BRC Manoj Gupta had demanded ten thousand rupees as bribe. On the complaint so far, the EOW team has arrested BRC officer Manoj Gupta while taking bribe. Currently, the 13-member team of EOW is taking action by bringing the accused to Barwara police station.
