Amid security concerns in the country, the Sai Baba Temple Trust in Shirdi, Maharashtra has banned carrying garlands, bouquets and shawls in the temple. Devotees will be searched before entering the temple.
Actually, every year lakhs of devotees visit the temple to visit Sai Baba. This famous temple received a threatening email last week. After which security concerns have increased. In view of this, the temple trust has decided not to allow carrying garlands, bouquets and shawls in the temple.
Threatening email was received on May 2: Gadilkar
Goraksha Gadilkar, a member of Sai Baba Sansthan Trust, said that devotees will be searched before entering the temple. He told that the institute had received a threatening email on May 2. In view of the India-Pakistan tension and the security alert across the country, no permission will be given to carry garlands, prasad and shawls inside the temple.
Police gave suggestions to increase the security of the temple
Ahilyanagar district police has also given some suggestions to increase the security of the temple. On Friday, Mumbai's Siddhivinayak Temple said that it will not allow carrying garlands, prasad and coconuts inside the temple from May 11.
