Recently Mayawati had made a big announcement

It is noteworthy that keeping the Lok Sabha elections in mind, BSP supremo Mayawati is holding massive rallies. Mayawati had addressed a public meeting in Meerut in support of party candidate Devvrat Kumar Tyagi. During this, he had said that if his party comes to power at the Centre, Western Uttar Pradesh will be made a separate state.

While addressing the public meeting at Alipur Maidan in Lohia Nagar area, Mayawati had also made a big attack on the Samajwadi Party. Mayawati alleged that SP does not want people from Scheduled Caste (SC)-Scheduled Tribe (ST) category to get the benefit of reservation. Mayawati said that the reservation given to Dalits and tribals in government jobs has not been completed yet for years. He also put BJP and Congress in the dock.

Mayawati also raised the issue of reservation in promotion in her public meeting. He said that SP had abolished reservation in promotion for SC-ST category government employees in its government. He reminded that when BSP brought an amendment bill in Rajya Sabha to make reservation in promotion effective, SP MPs tore the bill. Mayawati asked people what good can such a Samajwadi Party do for the oppressed Dalits?
