Badnagar police revealed the robbery of a grain merchant.
Total 03 accused involved in the incident arrested, total booty of Rs 202500 recovered from the accused
Ujjain, on 13.07.24, the complainant Manohar Khabiya resident of Shivaji Path Badnagar told at Badnagar police station that my grain shop is on Kaisur Road Sanwariya Chowpatty, I go to open the shop every day at 05.00 am with money to buy grain and to open the shop. Today also, at around 05.25 am, I left my house on my motorcycle to go to the shop and had Rs 1,20000/- cash in my bag which included two bundles of 500-500 notes and a bundle of ₹200 notes. When I was going to my shop, three boys were standing near a red motorcycle at Khob Darwaza in front of the English liquor shop and were looking at me. I left them standing there and went to my shop where I opened the shutter of my shop and put the bag on the wooden neck kept at the shop. I locked the cashbox containing Rs. 120,000/- and kept it on a table outside the shop. At around 05:35 PM, when I was sweeping outside my shop, the same three boys who I had seen standing in front of the English liquor shop came to my shop on a red motorcycle with their faces covered with cloth. The boy sitting behind me got down from the motorcycle and suddenly attacked me with a baseball bat in his hand, due to which I got injured on the finger of my left hand and above my left eye. Then the boy sitting in the middle of the motorcycle got down from the motorcycle and picked up my wooden cashbox which had Rs. 120,000/- kept on my table. The three boys took my cashbox and fled towards Lohan on their motorcycle. On the complaint of the complainant, a case number 351/24 under section 309(6) BNS was registered at Badnagar police station and investigation was started immediately. ▪Police action
Considering the seriousness of the matter, on the directions of senior officers, a team was formed to arrest the unknown accused and investigation was started at different levels based on 150 CCTV footages of various routes leading to the incident site. The team took continuous action and while searching for the unknown accused in the CCTV footage, reached Gautampura via Pirjhalar where, while checking the CCTV footage, the motorcycle seen at the incident site was seen at Runji intersection. While inquiring about the black coloured red stripe motorcycle used in the incident, information was received from the informer that the said motorcycle belonged to Shubham, son of Banshilal, caste barber. While searching for Shubham, son of Banshilal, resident of Runji Gautampura, the team found Shubham at a shop in Krishi Mandi. Where, while inquiring about the motorcycle from Shubham, he said that the motorcycle belonged to him. While asking about the motorcycle, Shubham told that my friend Aslam father Salim Mansuri resident of Pinjara Mohalla Runji Gautampura had taken my motorcycle on 12.07.2024 at 6.00 pm saying that he was taking a family member for treatment. On Shubham's information, I immediately reached Aslam's house where on seeing the police coming, he started running. The police team caught the accused, where on asking his name and address, he told his name to be Aslam father Salim Mansuri resident of Pinjara Mohalla Runji. While interrogating Aslam regarding the incident, he said that the incident was carried out along with his partner Manish alias Umesh father Lakhan resident of Runji Gautampura and Zahid father Nazir Mansuri resident of Pinjara Mohalla Runji Gautampura. The team searched for both the accused and arrested them from Gautampura. While interrogating the accused, they admitted to committing their crime. Later while interrogating the accused about the cash looted from the businessman it was told that we had divided the looted cash among ourselves in which Aslam son of Salim gave Rs. 60000, Umesh alias Manish son of Lakhan gave Rs. 20000 and Zahid son of Nazir gave Rs. 40000. Later the accused were duly arrested in the presence of Panchan. Arrested accused in the case: 01. Aslam Mansuri son of Salim Mansuri age-24 years resident of Pinjara Mohalla Runji Gautampura cash Rs 54500 02. Manish alias Umesh father Lakhan Bhil, age-20 years, resident of Runji Gautampura, cash Rs 16500/- 03. Zahid father Nazir Mansuri, caste Muslim, age 25 years, resident of Pinjara Mohalla Runji Gautampura, cash Rs 31500/-, total cash Rs 102500/-, a Pulsar motor cycle and a looted wooden basket were seized. After taking out the money, the basket was thrown in the bushes on the side of Kaisur-Lohana road, 01 km from the incident spot.
▪Mode of crime – One day before the incident dated 13.07.2024, accused Aslam father Salim along with his partner Zahid Mansuri came to the grain merchant to check the opportunity. Aslam along with his partner Umesh alias Manish father Lakhan resident Runji Gautampura and Zahid Masuri father Nazir Masuri resident Pinjara Mohalla Runji Gautampura hatched a plan to rob the grain merchant. Then on 13.07.2024 at 04.00 am, they came to Badnagar on a black coloured Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle with red stripe and after coming to the grain merchant's shop, accused Manish alias Umesh father Lakhan hit the complainant Manoj Khabiya on the head with a baseball bat and accused Zahid father Nazir Mansuri picked up the basket kept outside and fled on the motorcycle towards Kaisur Road. ▪Name of the accused:-
