The first royal procession of Baba Mahakal is going out in Ujjain. Mahakal has given darshan to the devotees in the form of Manmohan. It is believed that during the rainy season, all the gods who control the universe go into sleep. Whereas Baba Mahakal controls the universe. In such a situation, Mahakal goes out to know the condition of the people in the month of Sawan.

Today is the first Monday of Sawan, and the special thing is that this holy month has also started from Monday. Before this, there were long queues of devotees in the Mahakal temple. The temple administration claims that it took less than 1 hour for the devotee standing in the queue to reach the sanctum sanctorum and go further from here.

The doors of Mahakal temple were opened at 2.30 pm on Sunday night for the Bhasma Aarti of Lord Mahakal. 17 thousand devotees have taken darshan in the Bhasma Aarti. While till afternoon more than 2.15 lakh devotees have taken darshan.

Here, in Bhojpur temple of Raisen the lord was adorned with 3 quintals of roses, marigold, bilva leaves, dhatura and mango leaves. Special puja-archana was performed at Omkareshwar. Special adornment of Lord Pashupatinath was done in Mandsaur. Shiva Abhishek was done at Kubereshwar Dham in Sehore. Baba Baijnath at Agar Malwa was adorned in the form of Ardhanarishwar.
