Inter-school Balkavi competition was organized by Hotel Banerjee Palace located in the heart of Narayanpur city, in which about 70 child poets from high school and middle schools charmed the audience with their poetry recitation. District Collector Vipin Manjhi was present as the chief guest of the event, while Additional Collector Shri Virendra Bahadur Panch Bhai and District Panchayat CEO Vasu Jain, Principal of Vivekanand Vidyapeeth Swami Krishnamitranand District Education Officer Ramesh Nishad, and senior teacher Mahendra Dehari, senior journalist Santanath Usendi, Brij Manikpuri, Avinash Devangan, Anuj Joshi, Santosh Sahu were present as special guests. Lakshmi Narayan Thakur, Dhanesh Yadav and Basant Shrivas played an important role as judges. The said competition was held in two different categories of secondary and higher secondary schools, in which mainly child poets from dozens of schools including Karlkha, Garhbengal, Government Uma Vidyalaya Narayanpur, Vishwa Deepti School, Atmanand English School Singoditarai, DAV Public School, Shaumavi Garaji, Ramakrishna Mission Ashram Vivekanand Vidyapeeth Atmanand Hindi Medium School Mahavir Chowk, Government Higher Secondary Girls School Narayanpur, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Vivekanand Vidyapeeth Kundla took part.
