Attempt to murder solved in 12 hours

Katni, Rangnath Nagar police of Katni district took swift action and solved the attempted murder case within 12 hours and put the accused behind bars. This swift action of the police has once again proved the alertness of law and order in the district. The accused has been identified as Sameer alias Bunta Burman, a resident of Bandhwa Tola and only 18 years old.
Katni SP Abhijeet Ranjan informed that on the night of May 14, in front of Vikas Gupta Hospital near the bus stand, a youth attacked Manoj Burman and some other people of his locality with a knife. In this attack, 4-5 people including Manoj Burman were seriously injured, who were admitted to the district hospital. As soon as the incident was reported, a special team was formed under the leadership of Rangnath Nagar police station in-charge Naveen Namdev and the search for the accused was started. Within a few hours, the police caught the accused Sameer alias Bunta Burman near his house. The police also recovered the knife used in the crime from him. During interrogation, the accused confessed that he had carried out this attack with the intention of revenge due to an old rivalry. Ranganathnagar police presented the accused in the court and sent him to jail.
