Patna (Bihar): Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani was admitted to a hospital in Patna early Monday after complaining of uneasiness. Devnani had come here to attend the All India Presiding Officers Conference (AIPOC). Then his health deteriorated and he was admitted to the Indira Gandhi Institute of Cardiology at PMCH, Patna. All preparations have been made to bring Devnani to Jaipur and treat him here. Devnani is being brought to Rajasthan from Patna via a special plane.

Sharp chest pain during the meeting
Devnani was attending an important meeting of presiding officers in Patna. During the meeting itself, he suddenly felt chest pain. He was immediately taken to the Indira Gandhi Institute of Cardiology (IGIMS). According to doctors, his condition is improving and there is nothing to worry about.

Devnani expressed his desire to return to Rajasthan
Bihar Assembly Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav said that Devnani, who had come to attend the 85th AIPOC, is now in better condition and has expressed his desire to return to Rajasthan. Yadav said, "The Rajasthan Assembly Speaker was immediately taken to the government hospital after he felt uneasy in the morning. Now he is fine." Yadav said that arrangements are being made to take him back to Rajasthan as per Devnani's wish.

Did Devnani have a heart attack?
The Bihar Assembly Speaker has denied the possibility of a heart attack, but earlier a section of the media had expressed the possibility of a heart attack. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla inaugurated this two-day conference on the topic "75th Anniversary of the Constitution: Contribution of Parliament and State Legislative Bodies in Strengthening Constitutional Values."
