Anti-social elements conspired to spread tension on Ram Navami
Muslims foiled it, know how?
Anti-social elements conspired to spread tension on Ram Navami, which was taken with great sensitivity by Muslims. Also, by showing prudence, peace and harmony, they foiled the entire conspiracy. The matter is related to the cemetery located in Navadih Mohalla of Aurangabad city. Despite the wishes of anti-social elements, the matter did not take any communal color and due to the prudence of Muslims, any kind of inclusive untoward incident was averted. In fact, anti-social elements vandalized the gate wall of a building inside the cemetery on Saturday night, due to which a partial part was damaged. Also, many graves in the cemetery were set on fire, due to which the sheets lying on the graves were burnt to ashes. On Sunday morning, as soon as the information of the incident was received, a crowd of hundreds of people from the Muslim community gathered in the cemetery. Everyone condemned this act of anti-social elements.
As soon as the information of the incident was received, Aurangabad Sadar's Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO)-1 Sanjay Kumar Pandey and Aurangabad City Police Station's police reached the spot. Police officials inspected the spot closely. They tried to know the reason for committing such an act. After this, SDPO held a meeting with Muslims in a shed located in the cemetery premises. In the meeting, he assured that the police will identify the anti-social elements and deal with them strictly. Soon they will be pushed behind the bars of the jail. In the meeting, Muslims also showed patience, understanding, peace and harmony. Everyone accepted that this act is of anti-social elements, which has been committed with a specific purpose. We will not let the anti-social elements succeed in their plans. We are living together in the city. We will continue to do so in future and will not let the culture of the community be tarnished.
Police should arrest the accused
On the other hand, the local people have strongly condemned the incident. Along with this, they have demanded to identify the anti-social elements and arrest them immediately. Condemning the incident, the head of the cemetery committee Syed Ghulam Makhani alias Hakku said that this incident is highly condemnable. The police should arrest the anti-social elements who carried out the incident as soon as possible and bring their evil intentions in front of the civilized society. He appealed to everyone to maintain peace and harmony. Stay away from any kind of rumor-mongering. Do not pay attention to rumors. Social worker Mumtaz Ahmed Jugnu said that the thinking of anti-social elements regarding this unfortunate incident makes one angry as well as laughable. He said that one can have enmity with the living over any matter but why should one have enmity with the dead. They have left this world long ago. Have the dead done anything wrong to them, that they are taking out their enmity on them and burning their graves. He said that such an incident is highly condemnable. The police should arrest the perpetrators of this act soon. Do not post any kind of post or picture on social media
The police has appealed to the people not to post anything on social media that promotes the intentions of anti-social elements and spoils social harmony. The police also keeps an eye on social media and if you post the wrong post, you can also get yourself trapped.
Was there a conspiracy to repeat the March 2018 Ram Navami riot?
It is worth noting that a communal riot took place in Aurangabad city on the occasion of Ram Navami in March 2018. Business establishments of people of both the communities were damaged in this riot. Property worth lakhs was lost. The police even had to shut down the internet in the city. Even top police officials of the DGP rank had to come to Aurangabad to calm the situation. Dozens of people from both the communities are still facing trial in connection with this riot. It is believed that on the pretext of vandalism in the cemetery and burning the graves, anti-social elements had hatched a conspiracy to repeat such a riot on Ram Navami, which failed.
