Patna, MLA complained against a Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of Bihar. The MLA had complained to the General Administration Department in this regard. Many serious allegations were made against the then Sub-Divisional Officer. Also, a complaint was made about keeping the phone switched off. After the MLA's complaint, a report was sought from the District Magistrate. The report was reviewed. After this, the accused then SDO has been asked to be cautious.
In fact, RJD MLA Rahul Tiwari had complained to the General Administration Department against the then Sub-Divisional Officer of Jagdishpur, Kumar Pankaj. After this, the government sought an investigation report from the DM of Bhojpur. The District Magistrate gave the investigation report on 24 October 2024. In which the allegation was not proved. It has been clarified in the DM's report that the current personnel have expressed their inability to give any information in this regard on the points mentioned by the MLA in the complaint. Also, the then sub-divisional officer has been transferred. Due to this, it is not possible to contact him. After the DM's report, the General Administration Department asked the then Sub-Divisional Officer Kumar Pankaj to present his side. The then Sub-Divisional Officer presented his side on 7 December 2024. In which it was said that his behavior was cordial and courteous with all the public representatives. Being a government officer, it is not right to keep his government mobile switched off till 9:30 pm. Senior officials and common people keep calling on the government phone. If the mobile was kept off, the senior officer would also have been informed about it. After this, the General Administration Department has closed the matter by instructing Kumar Pankaj to be careful in future.
