Kurukshetra, Deputy Commissioner Neha Singh said that to overcome the deficiency of vitamin C in children, work will have to be done to plant amla and guava trees in every government school. With this scheme, the deficiency of vitamin C in children will be fulfilled in a natural way. When the deficiency of vitamin C is fulfilled, the deficiency of blood in children will also be removed automatically. Apart from this, the officials of the Health Department will have to make the managers of government and private schools, students as well as the general public aware about fulfilling the deficiency of blood so that no person in Kurukshetra can suffer from anemia.
Deputy Commissioner Neha Singh was addressing separate meetings of the District Coordination Committee and District Task Force Committee regarding vaccination under the Anemia Mukt Bharat of the Health Department in the auditorium of the Mini Secretariat on Tuesday. Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Neha Singh has obtained a feedback report from the health department officials regarding the anemia report and vaccination target of Kurukshetra district. After taking the feedback report, she instructed the health department officials that the report of the health department as well as other departments regarding anemia and vaccination is not satisfactory. Therefore, the health department officials need to stay on the ground and perform their duty with honesty.
She instructed the education department officials to prepare a report of government and private schools in the entire district, where there is space to plant amla and guava plants. On the basis of this report, amla and guava plants will be planted in schools under mission mode in the coming days. Students, school managers and common citizens will be associated with this campaign. She said that along with the health department, the women and child development department, education department, labor department and other related departments will also have to fulfill the goal of making Kurukshetra anemia free with mutual coordination. Regarding this, the education department officials will also hold a meeting with the managers of private schools. While plantation campaign will be conducted in these schools, supplements will also be given as per the norms prescribed by the government to overcome anemia in children.
The Deputy Commissioner said that in future, to achieve the objective of achieving the target of anemia and vaccination at the sub-division level, all the SDMs of the concerned sub-divisions will hold a meeting of all the officers and work in a planned manner. Only after this, the power presentation report will be presented in the meeting along with the field report.
