Amit Shah's bumper win from Gandhinagar
Amit Shah broke his own old records
Neither NDA crossed 400 nor India achieved its target of 295. The result of this very interesting election is now clear to a large extent. Narendra Modi will definitely take over the reins of the country for the third time but the strong government which was in power for 10 years, now that strength will be seen less in the government and more in the opposition. But BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah has done wonders in Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency of Gujarat. Amit Shah has broken his own old record and won this seat by 7,447,16 votes. He got 10,10,972 votes while his rival Congress candidate Sonal Ramabhai Patel got 2,66,256 votes. Apart from this, Bahujan Samaj Party leader was at the third position, who got only 7394 votes.
A total of 14 candidates contested the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat, out of which, apart from Sonal Patel, all other candidates' deposits seem to be forfeited.
