Shahdol, Drug addiction has become a global problem today. The youth in Shahdol district are under the influence of drugs. The one who promotes drugs is none other than the youth. Amalai Police has arrested three drug smugglers who were involved in similar drug business. Action has been taken under NDPS by seizing more than 150 vials of Corex, which is used as an intoxicant. The arrested drug smugglers were bringing drug paraphernalia from Allahabad to Shahdol by train and have been arrested by Amalai police.

Amalai police of Shahdol district has arrested Mohd. Zafar alias Raja Babu, Shivam Tomar alias Ghazni and Armaan Ali, residents of Dhanpuri police station area. From whom 150 pieces of Corex in two bags were seized and action was taken under NDPS. The arrested drug smugglers boarded a train from Allahabad carrying drug paraphernalia in two bags at Amalai station in Shahdol district, and on the information of an informer, Amalai police surrounded them and arrested them from Amradandi intersection. The caught smugglers were planning to supply this drug to Amalai, Budhar and Dhanpuri in the district.
