Saharanpur, A meeting of the District Level Implementation and Monitoring Committee constituted by the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India, to review the computerization of the multipurpose primary agriculture credit society operating across the country was convened in the new auditorium located in the Collectorate under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Saharanpur Manish Bansal. In the meeting, the computerization of 115 committees of the district in three phases was reviewed. In which 66 committees of the district are to be computerized in the first phase, 06 in the second phase and 43 in the third phase. The work of computerization of a total of 72 committees selected in the first and second phases is in its final stage, due to which farmers will be able to get indirect benefits of this scheme of the Government of India. During the review of the scheme, the District Development Manager, NABARD apprised the District Magistrate about the electricity and internet problems of certain societies being faced in the process of computerization, on which District Magistrate Manish Bansal directed the BSNL officers present in the meeting to immediately resolve the internet related problems being faced by all the BPACs of the district and the Assistant Commissioner and Assistant Registrar of the Cooperative Department were directed to install solar power plants in the societies which are facing electricity related problems, under the government's scheme of installing solar power plants on cooperative buildings. All the secretaries of BPACs present in the meeting were directed to prepare the balance sheets of the societies within three days and to complete the work of the first phase within the stipulated time period and were also directed to complete the second phase soon. On this occasion, Assistant Commissioner and Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Department, District Development Manager, NABARD, DIO/NIC, BSNL officers, Secretary/Chief Executive Officer, District Co-operative Bank and Secretaries of 72 B-PACs selected in the first and second phase of the district were present.
