The Calcutta High Court on Wednesday rejected all OBC certificates issued in West Bengal since 2010. The court directed that the West Bengal Backward Classes Commission will prepare a new list of OBCs on the basis of the West Bengal Backward Classes Commission Act 1993. The court declared the OBC list made after 2010 illegal. CM Mamata Banerjee's statement has come on the decision of the High Court. She has said that she will not accept the High Court order on OBC reservation. CM said, today I heard that a judge has passed an order, who has been famous. This decision will lead to constitutional disintegration. Minorities can never touch tribal or tribal reservation. But these mischievous people (BJP) get their work done through agencies. She said, I do not accept the court order. When 26 thousand people lost their jobs because of BJP, I had said that I will not accept it. Similarly, I am saying today that I do not accept today's order. We will not accept BJP's orders. OBC reservation will continue. Imagine their audacity. This is a stigmatized chapter in the country. This was done by Upen Biswas. The survey was conducted before implementing OBC reservation. Cases were registered earlier also but no results were obtained.
