All departments should work for the overall development of the village: District Magistrate Manish Bansal
One day workshop based on PDI and PDP concluded

Saharanpur, A one day workshop was organized on Panchayat Development Index PDI and Panchayat Development Plan PDP Financial Year 2024-25 in the Vikas Bhawan auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Manish Bansal.
This workshop started at 10:30 am and was organized in 02 sessions. Under the workshop, orientation of PDI and institutional mechanism was done for assessing the progress of localization of Sustainable Development Goals (LSDG) in rural areas including video film and its benefits, strategy and results were considered. In the end, doubts were also resolved on related subjects. Referring to the 73rd Constitutional Amendment, DM Manish Bansal said that the amendment was made with a view to making local self-governance more autonomous. He also mentioned the Three F principle of public administration. He said that there is no shortage of any kind of funds to strengthen local self-governance. Gram Panchayats have been given autonomy in this. Directing all departments to do better work, he said that everyone's participation is necessary in the overall development of Gram Panchayats. The senior officials should also sensitize the concerned officials through this training. He asked everyone to work on 09 themes to achieve the 17 development goals of the United Nations General Assembly. He refused to limit the responsibility of improving GPDP to only the secretary and the village head. District Magistrate Manish Bansal, while discussing practically, said that in the meetings of the Gram Sabha, suggestions should be taken from the common people and everyone should think from the good and bad perspective to improve the Gram Panchayat and work on making it excellent. He talked about developing tourism for the urban common people from the natural resources available in the villages and developing resources for additional income for the Gram Panchayat itself. He said that to take India to the peak of supremacy, it is very important for the village to be developed. He said that when we make a plan on the basis of local conditions at the ground level, then there is a possibility of getting more benefits from that plan. Regarding the localization of the goals of sustainable development, detailed information was given to work under 09 themes - poverty free and livelihood advanced village, healthy village, child friendly village, village with sufficient water, clean and green village, village with self-reliant infrastructure, socially safe and equitable village, village with good governance, women friendly village. Its main objective is to make India more prosperous, more egalitarian and more protected by the year 2030. In view of this, all the officers, village heads, secretaries were connected through this workshop and sensitization was done. DM Manish Bansal talked about fulfilling the needs of the present generation through sustainable development as well as preserving it for the future. He said that a balance should be established between development and environmental conservation so that natural resources can be preserved for the coming generations as well. India lives in villages, therefore everyone's cooperation is required to achieve this goal by empowering the villages. On this occasion, Chief Development Officer Sumit Rajesh Mahajan, Deputy Director Panchayat Harikesh Bahadur, District Panchayat Raj Officer Alok Kumar Sharma, State Level Trainer Pramod Kumar, District Sanitation Advisor Devbhaskar Pandey, members of GPDP and PDI Committee, District Level Officers, Gram Pradhan and Gram Panchayat Secretary of Model Gram Panchayats were present.
