The airport official said, "There were 180 passengers present in the plane. A tire near the nose and landing gear of the plane got damaged. All crew members and passengers are safe after this collision."

Air India issued a statement regarding this incident. The airline spokesperson said, "An accident occurred with one of our planes while flying from Pune to Delhi. After this, the plane was stopped for investigation. All the passengers were safely disembarked and the flight was cancelled. The passengers have been refunded their full fare. Passengers with further international connections were sent to Delhi by other vehicles. An investigation into the incident has been started."

Talking to the media, a passenger said, "The flight was scheduled to depart at 4 o'clock. While going towards the runway for take-off, the plane collided with a tug tractor. We remained inside for about an hour. The pilot informed us about the incident. After this, we were taken off the plane. He further said, the passengers were informed about the alternative flight arrangement. We were stuck at the airport for six hours. The passengers were given breakfast at 7:30 in the evening." Due to this incident, the passengers had to face a lot of inconvenience. However, no details have been released by the airline about how this incident happened.
