Contract health workers postpone strike
Damoh, The contract health workers, who have been on strike for 22 days outside the collectorate demanding regularization in Damoh, have postponed the strike for a month on Thursday. The striking employees say that the State Health Minister has assured them that their demands will be met within a month. Health workers say that if their demands are not met, then next month from February 5, they will again start their strike here. Health workers demand that the June 5, 2018 policy be implemented. Contract health workers should be regularised, their salary should be increased. Apart from this, the contract health workers who were separated from service should be taken back. Health workers told that senior officials of their organization had met the Health Minister regarding all these demands. Where they have been assured that their demands will be met within a month. Health workers say that they have not ended the strike, only postponed it. If their demands are not met within a month, they will start their strike with more vigour.
