Delhi, the weather in Delhi had become pleasant due to rain for the last few days, but now the scorching heat has started again. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) says that this week the sky will be clear in Delhi and the temperature will increase. On April 14, Delhi residents can expect maximum temperature between 38 to 40 degree Celsius and minimum temperature between 21 to 23 degree Celsius.

At the same time, there will be no change in the weather on April 15, although the temperature may rise slightly and reach 39 to 41 degree Celsius during the day, while it may fall to 22 to 24 degree Celsius at night. By April 16, the day will start with clear skies, but there may be partial cloud cover in the evening. However, the mercury will continue to rise, with maximum temperatures ranging from 40 to 42 degree Celsius and minimum temperatures between 23 to 25 degree Celsius. The IMD has also warned of possible heat wave conditions in different parts of the city.

Alert for North

Temperatures have started increasing by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius in many northern states including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan. There is a possibility of a further increase of 3 to 5 degrees Celsius in this region in the next five to six days. Some parts of Rajasthan have already crossed the 44 degree Celsius mark, while some parts of Gujarat have touched 43.6 degree Celsius. The maximum temperature in the northern plains including Delhi, Haryana and central Uttar Pradesh is currently between 36 to 38 degrees Celsius.

Heat wave warning in these states

The IMD has issued a heat wave warning in parts of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh. The highest heat wave is expected in western Rajasthan, where severe heat wave is expected from April 16 to 18. Heat wave may also occur at some places on April 14 and 15. Heat wave conditions are also expected in parts of eastern Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana between April 16 and 18. The effect of heat wave will be felt in western Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat from April 15, where temperatures may reach dangerous levels.
