Many important decisions were taken in the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting on Thursday. In this working committee meeting, a decision was also taken to start a new padyatra from the Congress. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said that Congress will take out 'Samvidhan Bachao National Padyatra' from January 26, 2025. Apart from this, it was decided in the meeting that the work of comprehensive organizational reform and restructuring in the party will be started immediately.
'Samvidhan Bachao National Padyatra' will run for one year
After the CWC meeting, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said, from January 26, 2025 to January 26, 2026, we will start 'Samvidhan Bachao National Padyatra'. This yatra will be held in every state and all issues will be included in it. As we believe that Bharat Jodo Yatra gave 'Sanjeevani' to Congress and it was a transformative moment in our politics, after that 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' happened and now 'Samvidhan Bachao Rashtriya Pad Yatra' will be held for one year.
After the meeting of the party's working committee, Congress organization general secretary KC Venugopal said that two resolutions were also passed in the meeting, one proposal is on Mahatma Gandhi and the other is political. Venugopal said, the year 2025 will be a year of extensive change in the organization. We will do extensive organizational reforms. This work will start immediately.
Congress will start 'Jai Bhim Jai Samvidhan' campaign
The resolution issued by the Congress states that the Congress will start the 'Jai Bhim Jai Samvidhan' campaign. This campaign will start with a rally in Belgaum on December 27. It will conclude on January 26, 2025 - on the 75th anniversary of the implementation of the Constitution and the establishment of the Republic - with a rally in Mhow.
The resolution states that given the need to preserve and promote the Constitution along with the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi, this movement will continue beyond January 26, 2025. It has also been decided in the meeting that a Congress session will be held in Gujarat in the first or second week of April 2025.
