Katni, Criminal incidents are continuing unabated these days within the Katni Kotwali police station area. Amidst the increasing incidents of stabbings and thefts, late one night near City Mall,
advising a young man to drive slowly proved costly. As soon as the victim advised the speeding men to drive, other men attacked him with knives and fled. The injured man, bleeding profusely, has been admitted to the district hospital, where his condition remains critical. Police acted promptly and took both accused into custody.
The victim, Kuldeep Kumar, was crossing the road on his motorcycle near City Mall late Wednesday night. Two men on a motorcycle passed by him at a very high speed, narrowly avoiding an accident.

Kuldeep objected and simply told the accused to drive slowly. This advice didn't go down well with those speed-mongers. The young men on the bike, without hesitation, immediately stopped their vehicle and confronted Kuldeep. While abusing him, the accused pulled out a sharp knife they had been carrying and fatally attacked Kuldeep.

After the incident, the accused fled

Kuldeep fell bleeding on the road from the knife attack. Leaving him writhing in pain, the two accused fled the scene on their bike. Bystanders immediately informed the police. Police arrived at the scene and, using a Dial 112 vehicle, immediately rushed the injured Kuldeep to the district hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment under the supervision of doctors.
