Action taken against knife attackers in Damoh
Kotwali police arrest three accused
Damoh, As part of the ongoing campaign against illegal weapon possession in the district, Kotwali police have taken major action and arrested three accused with sharp knives.
On the instructions of the Superintendent of Police, Damoh, and under the guidance of the Additional Superintendent of Police and the City Superintendent of Police, a team led by Kotwali Police Station in-charge Inspector Manish Kumar, acting on a tip-off, apprehended three accused from different locations in the city on February 24, 2025, while illegally possessing sharp knives.
Police have registered a case against the accused under Section 25 (1-B) (b) of the Arms Act under Crime Nos. 173/2026, 174/2026, and 176/2026 and have initiated legal action.

Prem alias Pushpendra Thakur (19), resident of Mahakali Square
Pawan Ben (18), resident of Naya Bazaar No. 2
Contraband seized
3 sharp iron knives (worth approximately ₹600)
Commendable role
The team comprising Station House Officer Manish Kumar, Sub-Inspector Saheb Singh, PR Ajit Dubey, Devendra Raikwar, Abhishek Choubey, Mahesh Yadav, Kaleem Khan, constables Narendra Pataria and Brijendra Mishra, and Akash Pathak played a key role in the operation. The police have appealed to the public to immediately report any suspicious activity to the police so that law and order can be maintained in the district.
