Police is running a special search campaign against liquor smugglers to stop consumption, manufacture, sale, storage and transportation of illegal liquor. In this sequence, the police team of Sadar police station caught a white pickup van and a bike on the basis of secret information. A large consignment of foreign liquor was recovered from it.

Police caught three liquor smugglers and searched the pickup, then 06 cartons of ROYAL STAGE total quantity 54 liters and 15 cartons of IMPERIAL BLUE total quantity- 130.500 liters of foreign liquor were recovered from it. A total of 184.500 liters of foreign liquor has been seized. 01 pickup, 03 mobiles and 01 motorcycle have been seized. The name and address of the arrested criminals are Dilkhush Kumar, son- Dukha Sah, resident of Gangjala, Ward No. - 15, Police Station and District - Saharsa, Bablu Sharma, son- Ganeshi Sharma, Pramod Sharma, son- Mahadev Sharma, both resident of Sameli, Ward No. - 16, Police Station - Kursaila, District - Katihar have been arrested and sent to judicial custody.

In Gaya also, the police has taken action against drug dealers from where a large consignment of liquor has been seized. Gaya police has recovered Indian and foreign illegal liquor worth Rs 50 lakh. Police raided the cave of Bam Baba hill located in Bageshwari of Delha police station area of ​​Gaya and recovered 300 liters of beer, 15 bottles of foreign liquor kept in two boxes and 170 liters of Mahua illegal liquor from two sacks. DSP 2 Dharmendra Bharti said that secret information was received that illegal liquor business is being carried out by Badri Paswan and Jyoti Paswan by keeping illegal liquor on a large scale in the cave of Bam Baba hill and selling it.
From here, illegal liquor was being trafficked through agents. Both of them were so feared in the area that no one spoke anything out of fear. Badri Paswan and Jyoti Paswan are involved in the business of supplying liquor and lottery to hotels around the railway station and supplying weapons. The cost of the recovered liquor is being estimated to be 50 lakhs. Two days ago, both were seen waving weapons in their hands. The video of both of them also went viral but Badri Paswan and Jyoti Paswan are currently absconding from the clutches of the police. Raids are being conducted to arrest them. The property of both is being investigated and a recommendation is being made to impose CCA.
Whereas in Motihari, ganja was smuggled under the guise of a grocery shop. From here, ganja was supplied throughout the district. SP Kantesh Kumar Mishra had received secret information about this. After which he formed a team under the leadership of DSP Subodh Kumar and sent the police team for raid in Thikha of Barkagaon. During the raid, an accused was arrested with 320 kg of ganja and sent to judicial custody. The arrested accused is Shrirampuri, a resident of Fulwar of Nagar Panchayat. The recovered ganja is said to be worth seventy lakhs. DSP Subodh Kumar said that the ganja smuggler has been identified and raids are continuing for his arrest. On the instructions of Arwal Superintendent of Police Rajendra Kumar Bhil, the police of Kaler police station of Arwal district recovered a large amount of foreign liquor from a truck during vehicle checking on NH 139. In this regard, DSP Kriti Kamal said that under the special campaign, Kaler police station in-charge Avinash Kumar was searching the vehicles coming and going on NH 139. In the same sequence, a Tata 12 wheeler truck coming from Aurangabad with registration number HR67B 7382 was seen coming, which was signaled to stop by the police force. On seeing the police force, the driver of the vehicle accelerated the vehicle and started running. The truck was chased by the police force and seized near Amirbigha. The truck was duly searched by the police. During the search, a large quantity of illegal English liquor was found under 180 sacks of fertilizer in the truck. After that, the police seized it and brought it to the police station premises where the liquor was counted and a total of 2541 liters of foreign liquor was found in 273 cartons.

In this regard, Kaler Police Station Case No. 111/2024, dated 27.08.2024, Section-30 (A) Bihar Prohibition and Excise Amendment Act 2018 has been registered. The arrested driver Jitendra, father-Jagat Singh, District-Rohtak, State-Haryana and co-driver Praveen, father Sandeep, District-Rohtak, State-Haryana are said to be residents. Kaler Police Station Head Avinash Kumar, Sub Inspector Dilip Kumar Paswan, Constable Ghulam Mustafa, Constable Vipin Kumar were included in this raiding team.
