West Champaran, Police has achieved a major success in West Champaran district of Bihar. Female Naxalite Meenakshi, involved in the sensational Naxalite incident of blowing up the police station with dynamite in the year 2003, has been arrested after 22 years. Meenakshi is a resident of Champapur village of Govardhana police station area of ​​​​West Champaran district.

According to the information, in May 2003, Naxalites attacked the Govardhana police station and blew up the entire building with dynamite. This attack created panic in the entire state. An FIR was registered against a total of 27 Naxalites in the case, in which Meenakshi was also the main accused. She was absconding since the incident.

On the basis of secret information, a joint team of STF and Gobarhiya police station raided and arrested Meenakshi from her maternal home, Sundarpur village of Laukaria police station area. It was told that the police was looking for her for a long time and an arrest warrant was also issued against her from the court. Due to her being absconding, attachment and confiscation action was also taken against her.

Gobarhiya police station in-charge Ramanand Prasad said that Meenakshi's arrest remained a big challenge for the police. He said that she will be produced in the court soon. Police officials have described this arrest as a big success against the Naxalite network. A senior officer said that this arrest is the success of our continuous surveillance, intelligence information system and joint action.

It is worth noting that this incident of blowing up the Govardhana police station in 2003 is considered one of the most serious Naxalite incidents in the state. It had shaken the government and security agencies. Now after so many years, the arrest of a key accused in this case is expected to help in taking the case forward.
