Saharanpur | Deoband, a woman who reached the wedding ceremony created a ruckus by calling the groom her first husband. However, by then the groom had fled from the spot with his new bride. After receiving information about the woman's ruckus, the police reached the spot and took the groom's father, brother and brother-in-law into custody. According to the information received, Javed, a resident of Saharanpur, had come with a baraat to marry Mohammad Yunus' daughter Samreen, a resident of Chandena Koli village of Deoband Kotwali area. After all the wedding rituals were completed, the guests were being served food when a woman who reached there with some people started creating a ruckus by calling herself the groom Javed's first wife. The woman said that her name is Sajda and she was married to Javed four years ago. Meanwhile, seeing the commotion, Javed fled with his new bride. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot. During interrogation, Saajda, who claimed to be Javed's first wife, said that she had married Javed in the year 2020. But after six months of marriage, they had a rift. Due to which she came to her maternal home and started living there. Their case is pending in the court. The woman told that this is not Javed's second but third Nikaah. Earlier, Javed had married a girl from Noor Basti in Saharanpur. But when her family came to know that Javed was already married, they took the decision then itself. After hearing the whole story, the police took the groom Javed's father Jahangir, brother Saqib and brother-in-law Ghalib into custody. Police say that talks are going on between the families of Saajda and Javed regarding the settlement. If a complaint is received, action will be taken.
