Katni, An i20 car suddenly caught fire on the over bridge under Khirhani outpost of Katni. This car was going from Barhi to Jabalpur via Katni. Five people in the car had a narrow escape. As soon as the car started climbing the Khirhani over bridge of Kotwali police station area, strong flames started rising from the car. Seeing the fire rising from the car, five people in the car got down and stood away. Within a few minutes the car was completely burnt to ashes.

The driver of car number MP 50 C 3822 was going from Barhi to Jabalpur with some people. The name of the car owner is said to be Anurag Guntiwar. When the car started climbing the Khirhani over bridge under the Kotwali police station area, the car suddenly caught fire. Seeing the flames rising from the car, the driver immediately stopped the car and got all the people out safely. Local people also informed the fire department about the incident, but by the time the fire department personnel could control the fire in the car, the fire burnt the car to ashes. How and what caused the fire in the car has not been ascertained yet.
