The bathing of saints, devotees, Kalpvasis, bathers and householders filled with faith and devotion in the holy confluence of Maha Kumbh city, Maa Ganga, Maa Yamuna and invisible Maa Saraswati has now reached a new peak. In the same sequence, the number of bathers in Maha Kumbh till now has crossed the figure of 35 crores on Amrit Snan of Basant Panchami. By 8 am on Monday, 62.25 lakh devotees took a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam. With this, the total number of bathers in Maha Kumbh has crossed 35 crores. There are still 23 days left for Maha Kumbh and it is expected that the number of bathers can go above 50 crores.

There is no lack of enthusiasm and zeal of devotees/bathers in Prayagraj. From all over the country and the world, devotees are reaching Prayagraj in crores of numbers every day to take a dip in the holy Triveni with reverence and faith and attain virtue. On the last Amrit Snan of Basant Panchami, crores of devotees reached Triveni Sangam for bathing since morning. On Sunday, February 2, about 1.20 crore people took bath, after which the total number of bathers reached close to 35 crore, which crossed this figure on Monday morning. The bathers included 10 lakh Kalpvasis as well as devotees and saints from the country and abroad.

If we analyze the total number of bathers till now, the maximum number of 8 crore devotees took bath on Mauni Amavasya, while 3.5 crore devotees took Amrit Snan on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. On 1st February and 30th January, more than 2 crore devotees took holy dip and on Paush Purnima, 1.7 crore devotees took holy dip.

Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath (including his cabinet) have taken holy dip in Sangam. Apart from this, Governor Anandi Ben Patel, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Arjun Ram Meghwal, BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi, Rajya Sabha MP Sudha Murthy, Assam Assembly Speaker Biswajit Daimary, SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav, Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly Mata Prasad Pandey, Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan, Hema Malini, Bollywood actress Bhagyashree, Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, actress turned Mahamandaleshwar of Kinnar Akhara Mamta Kulkarni, poet Kumar Vishwas, cricketer Suresh Raina, Khali and choreographer Remo D'Souza have also taken holy dip in Sangam.
