Katni, A SAF Jawan standing in the parade during the main Independence Day function in the Police Line ground of Katni district suddenly felt pain in his chest and was immediately brought to the barrack of the Police Line from where he was taken to the district hospital with the help of an ambulance where the doctor present there declared the SAF Jawan dead.

SAF officer Mikhal Toppo said that Manoj Kumar Yadav, who was standing for the horse firing in the parade during the main Independence Day function being held in the Police Line today, started feeling pain in his chest and he went towards the parade after the horse firing. Immediately after the parade, he was taken to the barrack in the Police Line from where he was sent to the District Hospital with the help of an ambulance. The doctor present in the district hospital declared SAF Jawan Manoj Kumar Yadav dead. When the minister in charge Uday Pratap Singh, who had come to hoist the flag in Katni district, was talked to in this matter, he said that his family is being taken care of.
