Fire unit brought the fire under control
There was panic in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, late last night when a moving car suddenly burst into flames near Gumawala village. The fire unit, which arrived on the scene, controlled the uncontrollable flames, preventing the car's diesel tank from exploding, thus averting a major accident.
According to information, the fire station received information that a car had caught fire in Gumawala village, under the Kaliyar police station. Upon receiving the information, the fire unit immediately arrived at the scene and brought the fire under control by pumping with a high-pressure hose reel. The fire was so intense that the entire car was engulfed in flames, but firefighters, risking their own lives, managed to control the blaze. The cause of the fire is believed to be a short circuit in the wiring.
