Saharanpur, a large number of Muslim community people offered namaz at Eidgah on Bakrid. During this, people congratulated each other for the festival, children also reached well-dressed to offer namaz. Bakrid festival is being celebrated with great joy in the district. In Saharanpur district, people of Muslim community reached Eidgah located on Ambala Road in Mahanagar to offer namaz and thousands of hands were raised in the worship of Allah. At the same time, namaz was offered in many mosques. Prayers were offered for prosperity and progress in the country. After this, sacrifice was made. Children also reached to offer namaz along with family members, well-dressed. At the same time, strict security arrangements were made by the police-administration. People started arriving since morning to offer namaz at Eidgah located on Ambala Road. Shahar Qazi Nadeem Akhtar performed the namaz. After the namaz, prayers were offered for peace and prosperity in the country. During this, police and administrative officials were present. At the same time, namaz was offered in Jama Masjid located at Chowk Fountain. Similarly, people offered namaz with devotion in the mosques of the metropolis. There were tight security arrangements around the Idgah. Officials also kept taking stock of the situation every moment. After the namaz was completed in Idgah, seeing the crowd, vehicles going towards Ambala Road were stopped for some time. They were taken out from other areas. Traffic policemen were deployed at every nook and corner from Ghantaghar to Idgah, who were engaged in making the traffic system smooth.
The metropolis was full of enthusiasm on Bakrid. Children, youth and elders came out of the house wearing new clothes. People went to each other's house and congratulated each other on Bakrid.
