Dhar, State convenor of Bharatiya Janata Party Madhya Pradesh's Merchant Cell, Sharad Agarwal met Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Bhopal today and apprised him about the practical problems being faced by traders. On this occasion, Mr. Aggarwal demanded on behalf of the traders of the state that a district level committee should be formed by the administration to solve the problems of the traders at each district level. The meeting of this committee headed by the Collector should be held once in every three months. Due to dialogue with the traders in the meeting, according to the changing environment and market parameters, the traders keep on needing guidance and cooperation from the administration on the immediate conditions. There is an urgent need for a proper forum for the suggestions and problems of traders. Along with this, the Chief Minister's attention was also drawn to the impact of tax on the cattle traders of Madhya Pradesh. Aggarwal told the Chief Minister that the Galla traders are paying only 1.5 percent more tax. The government is taking .02 percent tax on it separately in the name of destitute tax. That's why this destitute tax should be abolished immediately. During the visits made by the Cell in all the 57 districts of Madhya Pradesh in the past days, the businessmen have raised their voice equally on this subject. It is our responsibility to convey that to the government. According to Mr. Aggarwal, Honorable Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, discussing these issues positively, has assured to issue guidelines after talking to his subordinate departmental officers.
