A unique cleanliness drive was witnessed in Sarangpur on Sunday evening. Upon receiving information about heaps of garbage lying on the roadside on Akodia Road, Deepak Ranve, the Municipal Council's Chief Municipal Officer (CMO), arrived at the scene and took charge of the cleanup drive. He collected the garbage and inspected the sanitation system.
The CMO's active participation during the drive, which began around 4 p.m., boosted the morale of the sanitation workers present. Seeing their officer personally participate in the cleanliness mission, the team of female sanitation workers immediately got involved. A special cleanliness drive was then launched along the entire Akodia Road.
The female sanitation workers collected the garbage lying on the roadside, formed piles, and later transported it to the trenching ground via vehicles. During the drive, the garbage scattered on both sides of the road was removed, leaving the area clean. Local residents also praised the Municipal Council's initiative, calling it a positive message of cleanliness.
CMO Deepak Ranve stated that collecting garbage is not a big deal. The Municipal Council's primary objective is to protect the health of its residents and provide them with a clean and healthy environment. He emphasized that a clean city is built not only through the efforts of the administration, but also through the participation of citizens. If people refrain from littering in public places and cooperate with the sanitation system, the city can be made more beautiful.
Following the campaign, female sanitation workers also pledged to keep the city's streets and public spaces clean. This initiative by the Municipal Council is being considered a positive example of responsibility and leadership towards cleanliness. Local residents say that when officials personally work on the ground, it boosts the morale of the employees and positive changes are visible in the system.
