Anakapalli, A major accident has happened in Kailasapatnam of Kotavuratla Mandal of Anakapalli district of Andhra Pradesh. 8 people have died due to fire in a firecracker factory here. The Home Minister himself has confirmed the death toll.

CM's statement came out
Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu's statement has also come out on this accident. He has said that the death of workers in the explosion at a firecracker manufacturing unit in Kotavuratla of Anakapalli district is saddening. He has spoken to the District Collector, Superintendent of Police and State Home Minister Anitha over the phone to gather information about the incident.

The CM has directed the officials to ensure that the injured get better medical facilities. He assured that the government will support the families of the victims and urged them to stay strong.

The CM directed the officials to conduct a thorough investigation of the incident and submit a report to him. Officials told the Chief Minister that the condition of two of the injured workers is critical. This information came from Andhra Pradesh CMO.

Cause of blast not known

SP Tuhin Sinha said that the cause of the blast is not yet known. Chandrababu Naidu has also ordered an inquiry into the incident and asked officials to submit a report. The incident took place around 12:45 pm and officials are currently focusing on removing the bodies and shifting the injured to the hospital. Locals are also helping the police at the spot. YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy also expressed grief and urged the government to help the victims. He asked his party leaders to provide all possible help.

PM announces compensation

The Prime Minister's Office informed on X that the local administration is assisting the affected people. The families of each deceased will be given an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh from PMNRF. The injured will be given Rs 50,000.
