Anuppur, on 25/12/2024, information was received from the informer that a person is standing in front of the under-construction house of Dhoop Singh on the side of village Dharharkala Rewa Amarkantak Main Road, waiting for a vehicle with liquor in a yellow sack and a black bag. When witnesses Dharmendra Kumar Gupta and Vinod Kumar and their staff reached the spot to verify the information and take action, a person was standing on the roadside with a yellow sack and a black sack. On asking the name and address of the above witness, he told his name to be Uttam Kumar Paswan, father Ramswaroop Paswan, age 40 years, resident of Atraulivan Post Dumra, Police Station Amba, District Aurangabad, Bihar, presently Urmila Colony, Rajendragram. When the black bag in his possession was opened and checked, it was found to be filled with Goa liquor and country liquor and the yellow sack was filled with country liquor. The liquor was taken out of the bag and sack and counted. 50 quarters of Goa whisky and 42 quarters of country liquor plain liquor were found in the black sack and 208 quarters of country liquor plain liquor were found in the yellow sack. Uttam Kumar Paswan was given a notice under Section 94 B.N.S.S. and documents were sought regarding the possession of the liquor, which was recorded as not having any documents. 50 quarters of Goa whisky liquor of 180 ML each worth Rs. 135/-, total worth Rs. 6750/- in a black colour bag and 42 quarters of country liquor plain liquor of 180 ML each worth Rs. 70/-, total worth Rs. 2940/- in a yellow colour sack and 208 quarters of country liquor plain liquor of 180 ML each worth Rs. 70/-, total worth Rs. 14560/-, total 54 litres of illegal liquor worth Rs. 24250/- were seized and taken into police custody.
As the act of the accused is punishable under Section 34(2) of the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, accused Uttam Kumar Paswan was duly arrested on the spot by giving the reason for the arrest as per the arrest sheet. A crime has been registered against the accused under Section 34(2) of the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, and investigation is being carried out. The entire action was conducted under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Anuppur and Additional Superintendent of Police Anuppur and under the leadership of Inspector Virendra Kumar Barkare and under the guidance of Sub-Divisional Officer (Police) Pushparajgarh. Sub-Inspector Deepchand Barman, PR 42 Rajendra Yadav, R 267 Durgesh Sindhram, Cha. R 554 Pradeep Barela played an important role.
