A 19-year-old youth was murdered during the Winter Carnival in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. Police said that the accused has been arrested. The deceased has been identified as Dakshya, a resident of Vashisht in Manali. The incident took place behind the stage of Manu Rangshala on Wednesday night, when hundreds of people were enjoying the cultural program. After the incident, sensation has spread in the valley.

Actually, Winter Carnival is going on these days in Manali, the tourist town of Kullu. On Wednesday night, during the carnival, a program was going on in Manu Rangshala and a young man was murdered on the backstage. According to the police, the accused attacked the deceased's throat with a broken glass bottle after an argument. The post-mortem of the deceased has been done and the report is awaited. Police have arrested a youth in the murder case. Police is now investigating what happened between the two, due to which Daksh was killed by hitting him with a glass bottle.
What did the police say?
Kullu Superintendent of Police Karthikeyan Gokulchandran said that the accused was arrested early Thursday morning. He said that the reasons behind the incident are being investigated. Immediately after receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took the injured to the civil hospital. After this, the police informed the victim's family.
Family members warned of protest with the dead body
The deceased's uncle Shyam Lal had said in a conversation with the media on Wednesday night that if the accused is not arrested by Thursday, they will protest by placing the dead body of the deceased at Manali Chowk and the people of Manali will come out on the streets. The police have registered a case and further investigation is going on.
