17 IPS officers transferred simultaneously in Bihar
Jayant Kant, Babu Ram and Darad also included in the list
The Home Department of Bihar Government has issued a notification and transferred 17 IPS officers simultaneously. Not only this, some IPS officers have also been given additional charge.
The IPS officers transferred include 1995 batch IPS officer Pankaj Kumar Darad, 1996 batch IPS officer Amit Kumar Jain, 2002 batch IPS officer Rakesh Rathi, 2007 batch IPS officer Ranjit Kumar Mishra, 2009 batch IPS officer Babu Ram, 2009 batch IPS officer Jayant Kant and other IPS officers.
1995 batch IPS officer Pankaj Kumar Darad has been made Additional Director General of Police of Anti-Terrorism Squad. He will also handle the responsibility of Additional Director General of Police of Special Surveillance Unit along with law and order. Amit Kumar Jain, a 1996 batch IPS officer who is presently handling the responsibility of Additional Director General of Police, Crime Investigation Department (Weaker Sections), has been given the additional responsibility of Additional Director General of Police, Prohibition of Drugs. Rakesh Rathi, a 2002 batch IPS officer, has been given the additional charge of Inspector General of Police, Special Branch, while ending his additional charge of Inspector General of Police, Economic Offences Unit (Cyber Crime). He is presently handling the responsibility of Police Inspector, Technical Services and Communication. Jayant Kant, a 2009 batch IPS officer, is presently posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Crime Investigation Department. Now he has also been given the additional responsibility of Deputy Inspector General of Police, State Crime Records Bureau.
