Shimla, Voting has begun for 68 assembly seats in Himachal Pradesh. Votes will be cast till 5 pm at a total of 7884 polling stations in the state and the fate of 412 candidates contesting the assembly elections will be sealed in EVMs. The results will be declared on 8 December. According to the official figures of the Election Commission, there are a total of 55,92,828 voters in Himachal Pradesh. Of these, 28,54,945 are male and 27,37,845 are female voters. Apart from this, there are also 38 transgender voters. In the 2017 Himachal Pradesh assembly elections, the voter turnout was 75.57 percent. The trend so far in this hill state is that the government changes in every election. That is, the ruling party has to face defeat. That is why, in the election campaign, BJP gave a new slogan that 'Raj nahin, rivaj badlenge'. That means, not the government, but the old tradition will be changed.
