Ratlam, State Patron of Jai Adivasi Yuva Shakti Sangathan (JAYS) Dr. Abhay arrested in the case of stone pelting during the gherao of BJP MP from Ratlam-Jhabua parliamentary constituency Gumansingh Damor and Ratlam Rural MLA Dilip Makwana in village Dharad Police produced Ohri, Ratlam village president Anil Ninama, Villesh Kharadi, Gopal Vaghela and Indore-based RTI activist Anand Rai in the court at around 3.30 pm on Tuesday amid tight security. Bail applications were presented on his behalf. The court ordered the five accused to be sent to jail. After this all five were sent to jail.

It is worth mentioning that MP Gumansingh Damor and Ratlam Rural MLA Dilip Makwana were returning to Ratlam after participating in the unveiling program of Lord Birsa Munda's statue organized at village Badchhapara of Bilpank police station area on Tuesday on Tribal Pride Day (Bhagwan Birsa Munda Jayanti). Then in village Dharad, JAIS workers came in front of the MP and MLA's convoy and raised slogans protesting against the investment sector in Ratlam.

The policemen had tried to provide security cordon to the convoy but due to less force, they could not take out the MP-MLA's vehicle from there. The gherao and sloganeering continued for about 20 minutes. During this, a situation of jhoomjhatki was created and some people threw stones and bottles. Collector's gunman Sandeep Chandel received minor injuries. Collector Narendra Suryavanshi handled the front and explained to the protesters and somehow got the MP-MLA's convoy out from there and sent them away. Later, in this case, the police had registered a case under various sections against about 50 people including Jais leader Dr. Abhay Ohri, RTI activist Dr. Anand Rai, Anil Ninanma, Villesh Kharadi and Gopal Vaghela. All the five accused were arrested in the night.

put up barricades since morning

During the production of the five accused in the court, heavy police force was deployed by placing barricades on the routes leading to the court since Wednesday morning to maintain the law and order situation and prevent crowding. Police force was also deployed at the gate of the court. Because of this, people had to face difficulties while traveling and had to travel by other routes.

At 3.26 pm, the police reached the court taking the accused in different vehicles and presented them before DS Chauhan, Special Judge of the AJJJA (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. On behalf of the accused, their advocates presented an application for bail. Appearing on behalf of the government, Special Public Prosecutor Neeraj Saxena argued that the case was registered under the AJJJA (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. For this reason, it is necessary to give information letter to the complainant before hearing the bail application. The court has fixed November 17 as the date for the hearing while directing the complainant to send the information letter. The hearing will begin at 11 am on Thursday.
