Shahdol, President Smt. Murmu reached Shahdol district on November 15 and attended the state level Tribal Pride Day in Shahdol as the chief guest. A state-level program of Tribal Pride Day was held at Lalpur in Shahdol. It was also officially implemented. On this occasion, Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda, Union Minister of State for Steel and Rural Development Faggan Singh Kulaste, State Tribal Affairs and Scheduled Caste Welfare Minister Mrs. Meena Singh Mandve , Forest Minister Kun. Legislators of the area including Vijay Shah, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Bisahulal Singh and Animal Husbandry and Social Justice Minister Premsingh Patel along with MP Himadri Singh were present.
About one lakh people from 11 districts participated in this program organized on the occasion of Bhagwan Virsa Munda's birthday.
