Ratlam, Congress MLA from Alot Manoj Chawla arrived with his colleagues in the midst of the fighting over urea fertilizer across the state and the case of looting of fertilizers from farmers in the fertilizer godown has come to the fore. The district administration took the loot of manure seriously and Collector Narendra Kumar Suryavanshi and Superintendent of Police Abhishek Tiwari also reached Alot. After this late night Alot MLA Manoj Chawla, his fellow Congress leader Yogendrasinh Jadaun has been booked for looting and obstructing official work.

Sub-Inspector Joravarsinh Sisodia of Alot police station, Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Marketing Association, Limited Ratlam Branch, in charge of Alot's godown, 53-year-old Bhagatram's father Jagannath Yedu, resident of Housing Board Colony Alot, applied that on November 10, his colleague computer operator Ashok Kumar Chandravanshi, Chowkidar Asharam Patidar and Mukaddam Jagdish Mali and other Hammal were doing the work of distribution of fertilizers to the farmers at the godown.

After this, the crowd of fertilizer collectors increased, then we were doing the work of distributing fertilizers to the farmers in offline mode. Meanwhile, MLA of Alot assembly constituency Manoj Chawla and his colleague Yogendrasinh Jadaun etc. came to the warehouse and started arguing.

The MLA came and got the loot done
The godown incharge told that the work of distributing fertilizers to the farmers is already being done and you should not create hindrance in the work, but still they threatened me with the intention of carrying out the incident. Raising the shutter of the godown, he told his people to pick it up, loot it. After this, Manoj Chawla and his associates looted the sacks of government fertilizers and manure kept in the godown and fled from there.

When the sales and stocks of manure and fertilizers kept in the godown were matched, 6 bags of DAP, 1 bag of complex fertilizer and 21 bags of urea were found less in the godown at the time of counting. The cost of looted fertilizer bags is Rs 15096.50. The MLA and his accomplice looted government property, obstructed government work, caused loss to government. The police have registered cases under sections 353, 332 and 392 on both of them.
